Total Solar Eclipse August 12th, 2026

The path of totality (not us this year) passes over Greenland, Iceland, northern Russia, the Atlantic Ocean, Spain, and a small corner of Portugal. We can still enjoy the memories from 2024 and see a little portion of the eclipse.

Several northeastern U.S. states, including New York, Maine and Pennsylvania, that sit farther from the path of totality will witness the lunar disk take a small “bite” out of the sun.

Stop in the Astronomy Hub, 85 Park St, Tupper Lake, and pick up a pair of free eclipse glasses. it is not safe to look directly at the Sun without specialized eye protection for solar viewing.
