Unfortunately, there isn’t enough snow on the “legacy trails” at Mt Van Hoevenberg at this time, so the Wednesday Homeschool Ski Day will be cancelled for Jan 11. They are able to make snow on the “competition loops”, but these are closed to visitors right now due to the World University Games. Homeschool Drop-In at Lake Placid Library Jan 5

Dear Homeschool Families,

Happy 2023! We’ll begin this year with our typical Homeschool Thursday Drop-In session on January 5th, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. During this session, stations will focus on telling time (calendars, clocks, timelines, etc.).

Homeschool Thursdays are geared for children in grades K-6, but other ages are welcome. Free parking is available in the St. Eustace Church lot – just leave a note on your dashboard indicating you are at a Homeschool Thursday library event. As always, happy reading!

Homeschool ski and snowshoe program starts Jan 3 at PS VIC

The Paul Smith’s VIC is open tomorrow, Tuesday Jan 3rd for the first Homeschool Cross-Country Ski and Snowshoe day. They actually have snow, even though it is kind of boney at the moment. There is also a kicksled to play around with, which is fun in all conditions. The building is also open and all the facilities are available for homeschooler use. See the description of the weekly event for more info: https://nch.home.blog/2022/12/01/2023-weekly-homeschool-ski-and-snowshoe-program-at-the-paul-smiths-college-vic/
