Homeschool “JUNK TO FUNK” art show

The Saranac Lake Free Library is inviting all homeschoolers in the region of the Clinton-Essex-Franklin Library System to create art pieces for a special “Junk to Funk” art show where every piece will be made of recycled/reused materials.

Our goal is to bring attention to the waste we create as individuals hoping it will help change our outlook and attitude toward Junk!

June is also Paddle Month in Saranac Lake, so any creation linked to water and watersports is encouraged!

When: Pieces will be on display from June 05-July 08, **with a reception party on June 16 from 3-5pm!

All pieces must be brought to the Saranac Lake Free Library by Thursday, June 1st, 2023.

Set-up: Saturday, June 03

Break Down and pick up your pieces on: July 10&11

Dewey Mountain Homeschool XC Ski Day – don’t come if the roads are too snowy!!

Lots of snow in the forecast for tomorrow (3/14/23) for Saranac Lake. The current total overnight and throughout the day is 9″. Please do not drive to Dewey Mountain in Saranac Lake if the conditions are bad. We can always have Pi Day celebrations another day! My family will most likely still go to Dewey at 10am, but our drive is only a couple miles to get there. If you have to drive any distance and the conditions do turn out to be bad, please do not come.
